Blissfest is one of the two main fundraisers for the PHS Hockey Boosters, and is taking place this year from July 8-10, 2016. Volunteers are needed to help out with the recycling operation and the concession stand. We partner with both the Blissfest Music Organization and Emmet County Recycling to staff the Recycle Village recycling center. For our efforts, we are allowed to keep all returnables collected at the festival, which is a major source of revenues. Our major source of revenue at the concession stand is coffee sales. Our coffee is generously donated by Biggby Coffee of Gaylord and Petoskey. We also sell hot dogs, brats and other items. We need volunteers every day of the festival, and especially at Recycle Village on Saturday and Sunday mornings, July 9th, 10th and on Monday morning, July 11th, which is the major cleanup day after the festival is over. Volunteers working a minimum four hour shift at Recycle Village or six hour shift at the concession stand will receive a complimentary day pass. Volunteers working two shifts and a minimum of eight hours during the weekend will receive a complimentary weekend pass. When you are not working, you are welcome to kick back, relax and enjoy the festival! All hockey families, including players, are expected to participate in this important fundraiser. Come join us for a weekend of fun and teambuilding at Blissfest 2016! To volunteer please contact Lisa Rogers, Recycling Coordinator, or Stefan Scholl, Concession Coordinator.
